SSDI Insurance

One of my male colleagues is off from work for some time now. he is due to have a surgery on his knee. As what my other colleagues said that it will take few months to heal. Whew! If it happened to me we cannot survive. Where do we get the money to pay for the bills and buy food? Sickness here in Australia is limited unlike in the UK. In a year two weeks only is allowed. So if you want a long off you use your annual leave credit. Luckily my colleague took a SSDI benefits for injury at work. So right now he is having a relaxing off away from work but with a sore knee.
