Overslept

For the first time I had 8 hours sleep during the day after my night shift on Wednesday. So when I did another night on Thursday I was suffering with headache. And did not feel sleepy the whole night and still manage to go shopping until 12 midday the following day :) Now I am tired so I will be off to bed early because I will be on 12 hours day shift tomorrow.

Looking For Low Cost Health Insurance

When I was in Philippines I work in a public hospital for 3 years before coming over to UK to work in another public hopsital and I was there for almost 9 years. Now that I am in Australia I am now working in a private hospital. Not a lot of change from my previous job because I'm still in ICU. I chose to be in private this time because the work load is lighter, not a lot of politics and the schedule is so flexible. The problem is even if we are employees in the said hospital we are not free to use the services that hospital provided. That is why I am looking for low cost health insurance so that I can go to any hospital I wanted to, just in case emergency happen.

Personality Problem

Why there's people wanted to control others? When they can decide for their self. One supervisor in our unit want to be a a boss all the time that she want to control all staff and want to decide for our patient. They are superior but they are there to guide us and help us but not there to decide for our self. I think I need to change my night shift to another day so that I will not work with her again.

Gained Weight Again!

I gained weight again and I hate it! I cannot control myself with regards to food and I hate myself for being a pig!!! My work uniform is uncomfortable again because it is getting tighter. If only I can remove my fats easily. I'm thinking of using a fat burner. My colleague at work is using it twice a day and she said it works for her. The problem is you need to use the toilet every now and then to remove the fats from your body and you know what I mean.

Study Day

I hate study day!!! I had one yesterday and it was very tiring and I was so sleepy the whole day, especially that it was freezing cold (imagine the aircon was on my side...brrrr). After an agonizing 7 hours it was all finished. We planned to go to the park yesterday but because I was already tired we just stayed at home. Anyway, I am planning to do an ICU course early next year but I think I cannot do it because I hate to be in the clasroom.

Maternity Off

Maternity leave in UK is 6 months full pay and you can choose to work after that or take another 6 months off and get an allowance weekly from the government. What a good benefit for expecting mothers. But over here in OZ, the down side is the maternity leave is only 7 weeks. I think after that you can be off and get an allowance from the government for your kids but not that big. Anyway, I am expecting baby announcements from my friends. I already know they are expecting but they will keep it in private for now.

Busy Day's Off

I only have one day left off from work. But still I got a lot of things to do. Will I manage it? Tomorrow we will go out and I'm sure we will get home at night time. I had 3 days off but already spent 2 days of it for a day out and my 3rd day off tomorrow will be another day out again. So I'm sure Sunday will arrive and time to go to work and I don't have any rest. Anyway, I need to finish this post now because I still need to search online about web directories for my daughter assignment. Ciao!

Swine Flu Update

Our swine flu patient who was ver poorly survived. Thank goodness. And right now we don't have any cases of swine flu. Thank you very much. But our unit is very busy because some hospitals are transferring their ICU patients to us because of their overflowing cases of swine flu. I just hope there will be no more cases of swine flu in the hospital where I'm working.

My Colleagues in PH

Every time I go home to Philippines I always go to the hospital where I work before. I was there for less than 3 years only but had a lot of good times with this guys. So whenever I go home I do bring something for them. This time I brought some lipsticks and of course they were very very happy. Anyway, this year I gained so much weight. So when thew saw me they said that they think I need weight loss pills now. Do I really look so fat? Waaaaaaaaa!

Work Again

My 3 days off is finished now but I haven't been to the mall and did had a chance to buy a patio furniture covers. I really need one for our table and chairs outside especially that we are not using it a lot because we are always out when I'm off. Anyway, back to work again. Need to do four shifts for 48 hours in total before I have my 2 days off. I don't really feel 100% right now but what can I do? We don't have unlimited off sick here just like in UK :(
