The difficult thing working as an ICU nurse is that you cannot leave your patient alone. Somebody needs to be with the patient all the time. That is why most of us nurses in ICU developed urinary tract infection. So imagine what's life being an ICU nurse. Just one patient in 12 hours? Very difficult to manage especially that most of the time especially on night shift is not busy. I'm just thankful that in every bed space there is a Samsung television for patient where nurses are allowed to watch as well. But it is difficult because you need to fight yourself not to sleep or else you will be in trouble.
